The American with Disabilities Act (ADA) was
signed into law by President Bush and became effective
January 26, 1992. It was established to prohibit
discrimination against, and to provide assistance
to, individuals with disabilities. This law requires
that individuals with disabilities be provided
full and equal enjoyment of goods, services, facilities,
privileges, advantages and accommodations. Structural
barriers whose removal are “readily accessible”
must be immediately removed as it relates to areas
of employment, public services, transportation,
public accommodations and telecommunications services.
Examples include installation of bathroom grab
bars, ramping of small entrance stoops, removal
of fixtures or obstacles blocking otherwise accessible
entrances, or water fountains too high to be reached
by a person using a wheelchair.
We provide a complete line
of products designed for the physically impaired.
